This pond in Maple is man made. I grew up here and they built this pond a good 10 years ago. The stock it with rock bass and sunfish and it has a few bridges and some good places to cast from. Great for the kids, and has a small water park on the southside.

I know of a pond in Vaughan that is not on the list. Do i fish it or should i report its coordinates?? I am new to this site, what do I do to access the reports section??????

in order to acsess the reports section, you must first make a report and post it in the "my first fishing report" section, then you can acsess the rest of the reports sections, check out the ganaraska river report to see what needs to be in your first report

Hey guys/girls,

My first post on OFF :). Was just introduced to fishing this year and I totally feel in love. Went to Orangeville Island Lake Conservation a couple times but only managed to catch perch and sunfish. I decided to slowly start my own tackle box instead of constantly borrowing from my buddies, so I went to Bass Pro and picked up a few lures to try and catch some bigger fish. Decided I would check out the pond about 5 minutes away from Vaughan Mills (pond #88) and try out some of the lures before going out for dinner.

About pond #88:

-Noticed quite a few minnows
-The water was quite clear
-Saw quite a few sunfish or possibly rockbass from the bridge
-Managed to catch my first non-panfish at this pond - a bass using a Rapala Jointed Shad Rap in the perch colour in about 20 minutes of fishing
-Girlfriend didn't manage to catch anything using a rapala husky jerk minnow
-Ran into a local who said he caught 3 bass earlier in the day on the other side of the pond

Here a pic of the catch/the lake: https://picasaweb.google.com/112689504090936044730/August292012#5782286831456521090

Look forward to adding more posts as I check out other ponds nearby

some of them are loaded with bass. fished one pond pictured above years ago and saw a guy pull out a nice 3lb largemouth bass. some of them have smallies, oh wait...thats in markham

Ive fished a few ponds around my area ( Richmond hill and Vaughan)

Ive always wondered HOW fish end up in these ponds? I mean...most of them are just storm drain and retention ponds...

There's a couple of good sized storm ponds in Woodbridge near me. They look like they have deep spots, But never fished them yet. They look like they'd be able to support good fish populations. I wonder if any fish have made it in them yet.. :)
