Walleye...where to go?

Hi folks,
just wondering if someone can give me a light on this: I would like to go for walleye fishing but of course due to limited time it has to be close where I live (Mississauga) or let's say up to 1.5 -2 hours drive. I don't have a boat, so any advice on spots to fish from shore is really welcome. Thanks in advance!!
