Id put it around 7.....a nice fish for sure but it aint no bulldozer. Just take the flak for the post and move foreward....seems if you post about catching and arent one of the powers that be you gonna be doing something against the grain. Guys need to relax about slitting chinnies every one of those dirt dogs we kill increases the chance for Atlantic salmon recovery....do we want black boots that live to die or silver bullets that spawn and live on??????

....looks like the gravel at the forks....

To me it looks like the mouth of the river. Notice the waves in the very last part of the video and on the pix. You get those on a lake, not on a small river.

Its the gravel beach under kingston road...what with ppl putting thier float reels in the dirt and let the fish flop all over it. Its damaging to both the fish and ur gear.

Anymore damage then the big ass lamprey mark that is still bleeding???????? Fish take beatings getting where they need to go. They probably do more damage to themselves when spawning. Flopping, scraping an bouncing on the bottom.

It effects their slime coating when they rub against dry materials. I dont really care about the fish ur right they are the toughest thing that swims, i was thinking more about your gear. I see your into floating too, wanna come up and fish CW with me sometime?

Lol........check the regs. It doesnt really matter there no fish in it anyways.....dont come here lots of fish at wilmot or ganny....why fish all day for 2 when you can get 20+ out east.

I'm gonna hit Oshawa tomorrow for a few hours.
I'll keep in mind the to watch for safety with everything. I usually am careful with my gear but I was so pumped with the size of that fish. Lol

Dropping fish on the ice is very damaging to them....anything that i intend to release doesnt touch the ground. Tempuratures into -20 will freeze thier eyes instantly. The gravel you had the fish on looked polished and was probably not to hard on it, sand and mud is worst IMO also concrete.

That could be a very interesting discussion, probably heat up some tempers there too. Can both thrive in the same watershed?

Yeah hypothetically....chinnies come in after and dig up thier redds then browns and bows do the same.....introduction of these fish destroyed native migratory fish populations in lake ontario. Just my opinion.
