Weird hook ups and suprises

I've caught a crab attack my bait with his pinches and hold on to the bait until I got him ashore, and I've had a sea turtle take my bait, but after a quick fight he spat it out thankfully.

I got a good one.

We were on vacation in miami and my dad wanted to go fishing. So he a hid a reel in the suitcase from my mom :D. One day we went to a state park (can't remember what it was called). We found a little fishing pier and started throwing out the line with our hands. The guy beside us was looking at us like we were idiots. Five minutes later we got snagged on what we thought was some old fishing line. So we pulled up the old line and guess what was attached to it................a fishing rod :D. We swapped our reel onto the rod and soon after we had a fully functioning fishing rod. The guy beside us looked back at us and he was like "what???? where did you get that from?" lol

sp last year i went down to do some salmon fishing and caught nothing on my way back to the car i see this monster chinook thats super dark just swimming there so i toss my line and a couple of casts later finally hooked it, fought for about 20 mins and there was a crowd gathering to see this monster, after a while i notice that i didnt make any progress so i go in reeling in as i walk setting my drag in case it runs hard. the closer i get the weirder it looks. finnaly i got up right next to it and it was a friken garbage bag full of plates cups and leftover shaped perfectly like a salmon. loooooooooooool i felt like crap but was dying of laughter at the same time.

Just a reminder people STOP littering, i swear next time i see someone litterring i will explode of anger

Good Day

ok so where i fish some people do dragging to try and retrieve peoples lost lures, sinkers, hooks etc.i have done it before with some success anyway i have pulled up bicycle frame, large kite, lid from like oil drum/fuel barrel.bad part is sometimes people lose the dragging setup and you end up hooking into the yellow rope attached so i gave up doing that years ago.

A couple years ago I was with a buddy ice fishing at a new lake that we never fished before. We were sitting on aprox 10 feet of water. The water was clear and you could see bottom. We fished hunched over jigging and watching some nice rainbows hit the jigs. We are sitting there looking down and jigging, extremely focused when I hear my buddy scream and jump back....I look over to him, a little freaked myself, and see a large muskrat jump back into the hole. The thing jumped out of the hole to take a breath and then down he went. I laughed so hard that day! Being so focused and then have this rat looking furball jump out of the hole so fast in front of you sure freaks you out. This has happened a few more times now and we even hooked into one but that first time was halarious!

This little guy just wanted that worm so bad I guess. Took 3 min for it to let go!

In California a cormorant swallowed my squid on a hook... and somehow managed to regurgitate the whole setup, intact. Very lucky for me, and the bird....but I went back to the drawing board on properly hooking baits LOL
