Sunday July 10th, 6am. Nobody on the creek, nobody awake in their cottages (far as I can see) and the fish are biting. Can you think of a more exciting time to be on the water? Me either.

Some Kawartha specials came out to play and I'm glad they did. I've been struggling with shot lines, float size, sac colour, cp reel overhang, and a lot of skunk days. All of em to be exact where trout was concerned. But now for the fun of the summer:

I'm proud to show these guys off, nothing too special, but I've been having a hard year and I'm excited to show you guys some success.

A few pike, pumpkinseed, perch, and some largies. A'int nothing to brag about, but it was a good day, and that's what it's all about

Mr. Modest over here,

I'd be ecstatic with that variety and haul! ... a 'good' day. It's even better when you're learning a new type of fishing and it all clicks, CP in your case.

Many more 'good' days to come I'm sure!

Sounds like you may be over thinking the CP fishing a bit, which we all do from time to time.

No worries dude, do you know why we take pictures of fish? Its not because of the fishes size, its because we are proud we caught it. Im glad you shared this, the pros get enough attention!
