Lake run would be fish coming in from the lake if u were fishing a river/stream. Resident u would find farther up river above dams where the fish stay all yr. lake fish are usually bigger then the resident fish.

Was the water body connected to a great lake? If it was you can expect even bigger of a cat if you're a bit lucky.

Ah I figured thats what you meant. Yes it was lake run. All of the ones caught were over or around 5lbs and the biggest one ran for 20lbs.
I was surprised that no dinks were caught.
