I am curious about what flys you find work best. Do you have favourites for different locations? Or a special fly for certain types of fish?

This ought to be a fun thread for flyfishers! I flyfished alot and tied man, many flies for many species before i injured my neck and here were some of my favorites.
Trout
Royal Coachman
Blue Dun
LIght Cahill
Royal Wulff
Sawyer's Pheasant Tail
Eggo Sucking Leech
Bass
Muddler Minnow
Frog deer hair flour green and brown
The Mouse - deer hair popper
Zonker
Whitlock Swimming Frog
LUcky Wriggler
Pike:
Leprechaun (tied oversize)
Mickey Finn
Yellow Rabbit
Black Dahlberg Diver
Whitlock Swimming Frog
Lucky Wriggler
Jack Hammer
I needed a reminder of the names so i pulled out one of my favorite fly recipie books. Fly Patterns an international guide by taff price. Excellent book for patterns with beautiful illustrations, but the book assumes you know how to flytie. Excellent book if you are looking for great pike fly recipies.(and tons for trout, bass, salmon)

Hey there Kathryn, welcome to the board, and how's the show going?
As for the flies I have a few go to ones, I have a dry fly pattern "stimulator"( I know very vague) I've had them for over ten years down to my last few, but they are never fail.
And I just started tying this past winter, but they're all Frankenflies I like putting my own touch to them, but they work so that's all that matters to me.
Take care
That is an interesting thought maybe I have too many to chose from- hahaI use the same flies for each species but you can use any fly to catch fish, it's all about presentation.
my favorite fly is the mudler for trouts
