Just as the title says , what other hobbies do you have besides fishing.... Just thought it would be interesting to hear what everyone is into.

Myself I am into Compound Bows which I compete in tournaments at the regional and provincial levels and also hunt with bow, also own 4 horses ( wife competes in dressage ).

Also a collector of F1 racing memorabilia.

Camping, hiking, paintball, and fish keeping 125gal fresh water and 75gal salt water being set up now

Buying and Selling online, its a hobby not my full time. By low, sell high keep it simple.

Camping, Collection watches primarily fossil (just something about thier designs)
Slowly growing out of it, but still heavily involved with modified sound systems in car audio/12v electronics.

Fishing takes up most of my time. When I go fishing typically I'm canoeing, camping, hiking, taking pictures, ATVing, etc. all with a fishing rod by my side. At home I used to breed various reptiles, had a decent colony of ball pythons and a handful of rhacodactylus leachianus geckos. Kept me tied down to the house and with no one around but me to take are of them I finally cut back my collection. I currently keep 1 gecko and 1 snake. During the warmer months I'm a big time shroomer. Spend lots of time hiking through the forest hunting down mushrooms. This Spring I will be restoring an old 1967 Mercury Parklane, scored the car from a friend, body is mint but the engine is seized up. This will be my first time farting around with such a project and I cannot wait to get 'er done. Here are some pictures I have posted before...

I guess I could add that I am building a RC drone quadcopter. It is my winter project for doing Fly Fishing photos/video in the spring. Once completed the hobby will be putting it back together after breaking it every week. At least if it flies anything like my old heli or should i say, if I fly it like I did the old heli

Might as well add some pron to the thread to

depending on the weather/conditions Ill go hiking the odd time or Small Game Hunting and sometimes video games/reading books when its too nasty outside or I don't have enough time to go out, but all of those things get pushed aside anytime theres an opportunity to fish so as you can imagine I don't get enough hiking and shooting in lol

rod in my hand my brain goes straight to fishing mode and nothing can snap me out of it except maybe extreme hunger lol or a girl :p

@ DOZER - Nice shrooming pics bud! ive been in a bit of reading about it and its something i'm interested in too... but no bloody time!

Just don't eat any random mushroom you find - make sure you know what you pick or else you'll be hanging out with Daffy Duck and Veronica Rabbit... wait a minute, that doesn't sound too bad at all  All joking aside, each person reacts differently - one person can eat a poisonous mushroom and be fine while the other drops dead... even some of the edible ones like chantrelles and honeys can cause upset stomachs...

When you go small game hunting and the mushroom season is in full force I'm in to take a walk with ya :) You get the meat we hunt down prepped and I'll work on the mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce... Love fresh mushroom sauce... more mushroom pr0n ;) I'm salivating just lookin' at these photos...

now that's an offer that's i'm going to give some serious consideration to

darn food pics are irresistible

I have to add pics, but this year we have bought, restored and sold 3 camping trailers. It has become a hobby of ours as well. We have our 4th now, but think we are keeping this one. Needs a it of work/repairs but will be ready by the season opener.

Coin collecting (also precious metals) - have been doing for almost 2 years, tons of money spent :p But I see it as an investment for the future.

Besides that, I like anything outdoors...biking, hiking and hoping to start kayaking in the summer (with a rod by my side ofcorse)

Gym and beach volleyball are also things that take up most of my other time

I own a couple horses too and run a little hobby farm, nice reptiles by the way! my dad is big into them I just gave him my 6 foot red tail Columbian boa when my daughter was born

Outside of fishing? I don't understand the topic??? haha

Love, NASCAR, watching the Leafs lose (I mean win but really how often does that happen) and movies... Own 500+ DVDs...

Bow man: I've always wanted to learn and get into this sport. Any advice on where to start?

Dozer: those mushrooms look amazing. When are we going mushroom hunting? lol

First off decide what kind of bow you want to shoot: Compound, recurve or traditional ( aka long bows etc..). Practice, practice, join a archery club if really serious get a coach. Dont go out a spend a ton at first, If possible buy a used bow ( check: the archers nook and the bow shop both very good bow shops and sell used gear and good prices. LINK: http://www.archersnook.com/
http://www.bow-shop.com
if these links dont work just google search those names.

Here is a good archery forum for you: http://www.archerytalk.com

Here is the link to the Ontario Archery Association: http://www.oaa-archery.on.ca

Here is a couple clubs that i think might still be running around you: Archers of Caledon , Peel Fish and Game

Hope this helps you..
