Can't wait to get out there now.

Berg. What's the main advantage of switching to siwash hooks. wouldn't it be easier to hook up with trebles. I've never switched mine..

I like it because it is easier to release with single hook. I have seen chinooks crush treble hooks. 3/0 to 4/0 should be fine.
Easier on your net also

Honestly, I only switched out the trebles for siwash hooks because I read in an article on this forum that it was a good idea. I don't know whether my siwash hooks were poor quality or what, but they honestly didn't seem much sharper than the trebles that came on the spoons. Perhaps they're made of a stronger, more durable material. One advantage I also figure will be nice about siwash hooks, is that in shallow water pier fishing with spoons, they will probably be less likely to snag on the bottom.

reelflies.ca order! Streamers and nymphs for steelheading this fall. Really need to decide what type of fishing I like most and focus on one style, for the sake of the wallet at least!

Bought a 7'0" St Croix rage MH-XF bass rod for 106 bucks at sail. I think k that's 40% off the normal 180

Also was looking for some of the shimano crucials they had on sale (79-99) but all sold out.

This week everything is 15 off I believe so for basics thay never go on sale that's good

Also received my first mystery tackle box shipment. Pretty solid. A pack of Rage tails, a skitter pop type lure, lunker bugs, some hooks, some swimmy worms for drop shotting and a football jig in a natural colour. All around decent package for about $17 after exchange.

These at Dollarama. Bigger than the ones sold for use with roe bags. Just need a couple of these as opposed to quite a few of the regular kind. I find that the static on the regular kind combined with their small size and my big fingers makes them awkward to use. Also--these are $1.25 a bag!!

Just getting started into fishing, and realized how much this sport costs! I've found that even fishing items go on clearance!

TSC was getting out of fishing, so I loaded my box with 50%-75% tackle. Everything listed below came to about $75 ... looking back I should have got more!

- 4 packs of Zoom horny toads
- 4 packs of Zoom flukes
- berkley tube jigs, minnows
- 4 packs of assorted plastic baits
- 8 packs of Mustad octopus hooks
- Rapala knife
- weights, jig heads, bobbers, swivels
- 10 crank baits assorted
- Spoons

Also invested in some waders the CT 50% special ... they do the job.

Now I just need to learn how to use all this stuff

I recently bought the Cabelas Dri fowl ll. 4 in 1 camo wader jacket. Can't give my opinion on how good it is. Still waiting for it to arrive.
If anyone has an opinion from experience of owning one just giver......

She is a nice spinner. I love the design of the clicker right hidden in the middle. Taking out for a spin tomm but from reports it spins easily. Plus from what i hear because of the rounded spool extra casting yards are a bonus

Ported backplate: 9.6oz

Sweet reels you wont be disappointed performs just as good as any high end reels out there if not better. Edwin work is truly underrated.
