Thudermist lures youtube, Canadian Sportfishing, New fly fisher (good knowledge if you into migratory species, despite if you fly fish or not), Hookin up with Mariko, and there is one amazing show - can't remember the name but there's a show that's mostly saltwater fishing on WFN and they video tape underwater once the fish is coming in near the boat. incredible exotic species. wish i lived somewhere like that.

anyone else find Dave Mercer annoying ?
IGFA Saltwater Adventures with Bill Boyce

Yes Dave Mercer is annoying. So is Charlie Wray (?) and Chronzy, Italo also wears a bit thin with me, but so does Izumi. I can stand Ang and Pete Bowman on Fish'n Canada. And as previously mentioned, The New Fly Fisher and host Bill Spicer also wears thin, although I have seen a few interesting shows.

2 shows I loved, not sure if they are making them anymore, but past episodes can be found on your computer are "Hooked With Mark Krupa." A fly fishing series, based mostly in Canadian waters, where not only the fishing is explored, but also the regional culture too, although slightly gay at times. Lol. The other show is "What A Catch (.)" with Kathrynn Maroun, also a fly fishing show but more world-wide in areas fished, S. Africa, Costa Rica and Mongolia, besides Canada. She also explores native culture but does it very well.

I have a few more to add to my list.

How about River Monsters? can't go wrong with that show. I just want to be in a situation to have an actual reason to spool 125lb test.

Anything but:

canadian sportfishing
Bob Izumi
bass tournament shows
fishing the flats
fly nation
hooking up

Those shows REALLY annoy me.

any reason?
All of them share one of two things, either they are just half hour long videos of fish with no information whatsoever, or the hosts show absolutely horrible skills at handling fish, vertical holds, torpedoing musky, keeping fish out of the water too long, etc. And I just find Italo condescending.

ya thats true, on a lot of those shows, they just fish and don't talk about any techniques or anything and almost all handle fish improperly before releasing them, Fish TV improperly handles fish a lot of times and is a pain to watch since all they do is blab on about stupid meaningless things, lol!

Don't forget about all the 6lb bass they catch! LOL

Good call Shawarma. I forgot about that one when I was posting my list. Any fish Jeremy has caught and every location he has been are things that could be on my bucket-list, but now I have to add a new number 1 to my bucket-list. Win Lotomax so I can afford to go to those places and buy 125 lb test and the gear to hold that 125 lb test.

Saw a good one today on wfn. "king of the river" salmon fishing in gaspe Quebec
Atlantics in east coast rivers, great fishing and fun. I have not done Gaspe, but have done Newfie, Labrador and New Brunswick.
Some call Atlantics the fish of 1000 casts which is not really true. Their Latin name translates roughly to "the leaper" which is true. I have hooked some that I thought had wings.
I hope they can come back in Ontario, I hear a start has been made. Catch and release boys and girls if you get one here.

I am shocked and really disappointed that there are soo many bass fishing shows on WFN. Like C'mon, pretty much any lake between Quebec City and Key West will have bass.

These guys catch 4-8lbs fish on 20lbs line, with ninja hooksets. 1. Its boring 2. tens of thousands of dollars to catch a fish you can easliy attain from shore?
Am I the only one who thinks this?

Bumping this thread.
I just got WFN added to my cable pack a few weeks ago. So many better shows than on basic cable.
I think it may be come tired with reruns, but it is great for now.
Shorelines and Mariko, hotties fishing :)
Lots of fly fishing which is making me want to dust off my Orvis that was under used last year. King of the River is sexy, I never fished Gaspe, but have done NB and NL.
Gotta check out some old haunts for Brookies on the fly too.
Wish they had more Canadian content tho. I really don't care about catching Largies in Texas since Texas is 2000 miles away.

The New Fly Fisher on YouTube because its often on local waters. Anything relevant to southern Ontario!!!

Oh, and the other I can't stand is Fish TV!
Preach on brother. CANNOT STAND these guys.

Camera facing their ass, reruns of them catch crappie all day and making a big deal out of nothing. Definition of what fishing SHOULDN'T be... and thats me just getting started -.-
