Im ganna be that odd-one-out and pick CT.

I have only visited BPS 3 times, and all 3 times was for a left-hand retrieve baitcaster reel, which CT doesnt have. Once to buy the reel, once to replace the reel, last to buy handle parts. BPS is really expensive, and their stuff dont seem all that different from CT. Heck, they even have the exact same stuff as CT, except $2-3 more expensive. BPS does have amazing variety, but I never needed that many stuff. CT works for me.

Natural sports for sure bass pro was pretty good when they first got here now they hire total wingnuts to work the floor. I guess you can't expect much what qualifications do you need to work there.lol

Again depends on what department you are asking for.... I know most of the guys fish tournaments, some have their own blogs, some of them have just been fishing for years.

When BPS is busy we are understaffed lol. The managers do have a hard time keeping us up to par with having a good employee to customer ratio. Customer service from where in BPS sucks? If it is from the fishing department you must have been a pretty big dick to us to receive poor customer service. Just saying this is the best group of well rounded guys to gain knowledge from and to be helped out. LeBarons has some really good pricing. I usually grab certain things from there because I live 2 mins down the road from there in Markham.
The bald guy with the mustach that works the fly shop is the biggest Dick going. Don't go there just because of him

BPS is a piece of shit... I had been given a gift cert there and went to use it towards wading boots and the guy helping me almost kicked me out of the store for bringing my waders in to put on while i tried on the boots.

He also told me that they might have to hold them and verify they were actually mine before letting me leave with them... Needless to say I gave the manager a brief hello and was on my way... never to return.

:)

Never had problems with bass pro only thing is that it's an hour drive for me sail is about ten minutes

SAIL for sure. The fishing department is pretty decent in selection and has reasonable customer service. The checkout clerks are really friendly and chat me up all the time. The outdoors/camping selection is good too.

Shopping at BPS always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Questionable customer service and too many clerks with attitudes. They have an awesome selection, but the selection is even better online and easier to find.... so I have no problem cutting out the middleman and ordering online. They usually have good $5 shipping promotions which basically saves $$$ in the long run instead of burning half a tank of gas to drive to Vaughn Mills in GTA traffic.

LOL I am sorry about the fly shop... We don't consider that part of the fishing section. Should have clarified that in a previous defense. The fly guys there are dbags. But like I said, the guys who work the floor on the fishing section are cool dudes.

This has been my experience.

not really, last time i went in there to look at getting a spinning reel, the guy behind the counter wouldn't give me the time of day, let alone advice on a reel, where as the guys at sail will give you their opinion on the reel, customer feedback and recommend similar products or slight upgrades in the same price range

BPS guys are nice for the most part but I've had the worst customer service from a two of the guys by the fishing reels area.

1. One guy apparently acts part time, is a pro bass tournament fisherman, doesn't fly fish, won't fish for trout because it's a waste of his time. This all came out by just asking him what works for fishing trout and I wanted to buy a reel. Ended up just leaving because I was so put off by his attitude.

2. Older Asian fellow, I've talked to him a few times. Once he recommended me a pflueger trion reel which I thought was okay. I went back to buy the smaller one for my ultra lite setup and he tells me these are crap and why do I like them. Doesn't help me find the product even though I wanted it, I waited around again and a manager helped me get the reel and gave me a bit of a discount because it was a floor model.

Sail, staff are all very nice but also understaffed. These guys will talk forever if you let them.

Lebaron, I can't say it's the best customer service either. There are two guys that are very helpful but they are pretty busy. I once had to get help from the Asian lady and she just complained about the rest of the staff in Cantonese for a good 15 min. She gave me a discount on some of the flies by marking them down in price though.

Bass City on Highway 7, I guess he was the owner. I was going to buy some line from him so I waited for him for 10 min while he was outside. He came in and told me to buy whatever and I won't notice a difference. Asked him about a spinning reel and he said they are all the same. I basically left after that, I'm usually all for supporting the local shops.

Don't go to Bass City for advice lol. The owner is just an old asian guy who doesn't give a crap unless you are asian and speak the same language. I once waited 20 mins to pay for some senkos. They also carry some good reels BUT they are way overpriced.

tough to choose between Wilson's and SAIL, but I'd probably go with SAIL since it's more general. CT is wayyy overpriced if you ask me.

yeah, I only buy from CT when things are on sale otherwise everything is way too expensive
i only but from CT when i break something while fishing, its easier to flag down a CT than a sail and bps
