What kind of knives you got?

hi wasn't really sure were to post this lol.

what kind of knives are you guys carrying with you? , not necessarily for filleting fish but for a hunting/survival/ camping knife.

im looking for one. so when i go and portage somewhere up in Halliburton ill have more than just my fillet knife :lol:

I got tons.. More then I know what to so with. Some conventional some no so conventional lol.

Most I got in the states for obvious reasons.
And most are tactical.

Just to name a few.

1.) SOG Seal Pup its a non folder.
2.) Gerber DMF Folder
3.) Gerber Mini Covert Spring assisted.
4.) Gerber Applegate Combat Double Bevel.
5.) Gerber Guardian Back Up.

And I have a bayonet off a AK47.

Here are my knives excluding my fillet knife. The second picture is the 2 I carry the most while fishing. I'll usually have one of those on my belt and a folder in my pocket. The wooden handled one is a Grohmann Canadian army knife and they are actually made in Nova Scotia. The second one is a buck knife (forget the model). I have a few other knives that are not shown but they are really not worth showing.

This too is amazing. Me and a buddy tested this out last year. Putting it into a tree and using it as a step testing blade durability by smashing it against a piece of steel with a hammer leaving it in water for 3 weeks to see if it will rust. Both fresh and salt. The seal pup never broke blade was mangled but could still be used somewhat as a knife and did not rust. And this knife is used by US Navy Elite Seal Teams. And they only use the best. Probably one of the best knives in the world for the price.

Spring assisted knives are completely legal over here

im not going to carry a survival knife or a camping knife on me when im in town its just stupid. but just as a camping knife/survival/portage knife

I'm pretty sure your legally allowed to carry as big of a knife as you want as long its not concealed/ hidden. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The way the law works is you can carry basically any knife on you (when I say any knife I mean depending where you are carrying it, a machete around town in the open is still going to cause a commotion, keep your application of knife within reason of length where you are carrying it.) as long as its not concealed, when its concealed it can be considered a weapon but that subject is pretty vague in the CCOC a knife is considered a tool until its used to cause bodily harm.

My EDC (Every Day Carry) is my Gerber Guardian Back Up its a fixed blade that's around 5" in length and it sits on my back right side in a Kydex locking sheath and only removes when its twisted and pulled up.. Its always in the open and usually makes people nervous for some reason when they see it.

I also want to recommend a great belt that every outdoors-men should have its made by 5.11 Tactical and its called an operators belt. The buckle has a breaking strength of 6,000lbs and the belt material is made from super strong nylon it can be used as an emergency harness if you need it.

I got it last summer and tested it by rappelling down a wall with it with held my weight no problem, then used it to tow my buddy's atv back to my house since the rope we had was too short. For 40.00 its a great piece of equipment to have.
