What should I be throwing in port Rowan

Has anyone been fishing to port Rowan and what kind of bait should I throw ? What's the deal with this place anyone?

i have a friend tha fishing long point for pike and bass, bass i dont think are in season but pike u can use alot of things lol spoons, buzz, anything bass go after pike love it too......

Lots of huge carp coming in around those parts right now. you can throw big zonker streamers in various colors and they will chase....

Gunna throw some sluggos buzz baits frogs at dawn see what happen try for pike and catch a pike .. II caught some worms last week.. For kitties just in case

if you're going after pike, check if you can see some baitfish on the water. if there's abundance, change to spinner. I find it difficult to catch pike with minnow plugs when there are a lot of minnows in the water. soft plastics are good, white or green in perch pattern. vary your retrieve. i slow down my retrieve on cool temps and crank it on warmer. and of course make sure there is pike there.
