What the F is up with the whirlpool?

Sooo I'm not sure if it's just my luck, or possibly i molested a fish in a previous life, but everytime i go to niagara, i get shafted. The only excitment i see is maybe one, streetching it with two fish being caught all day, out of the dozen or so fishermen. I went today, again, for the third time, in just over a week. All i got was one bite! which im not going to lie, had a larger chance of being a rock. I was armed with live 2"-2.5" minnow's, gulp imitations in the same size, roe bag's, worm's etc. From 8-2:30, every cast i made i hoped, but no dice. I'm starting to doubt myself the whirlpool is crushing me! haha hurry up credit, i need some f-ing fish!

Sorry for the rant, had to, but be skeptical of people who say they get tons of fish whenever they go to the whirlpool in the winter season, there are days that are exceptions, but not many

I get skunked from time to time as well. I think a lot of it has to do with the place you fish. I tend to look for deep pools where the water is still. Fish tend to lay here and it makes float fishing a whole lot easier as well. Don't be afraid to walk around that bend

Everyone will have days that just suck. If someone tells you they always catch fish, they are lying. Just keep the faith it will happen soon

not your luck man. I use to fish the whirl pool every week back when i lived in st .catharines. Its a good place u just gotta be lucky lol. My friends friend went last week he said they had an awsome day. gas prices are going up 3 cents :evil: wait for credit and opener is just around the corner.

I know man! funny thing is alberta supplies about 70% of north america's oil i believe. I just want to hit one of these lucky days everyone has told me about

I haven't felt a headshake in weeks!..

Haha i think i did almost more walking than fishing that day. I even climbed the big rocks on the right side to get near the shoot after the rapids there! Risking life and limb for a fish haha. No wait..for a trout , which makes it ok.

I usually go left and around the bend. There are some nice places to fish over there if you are willing to walk. I'm not implying you'll actually catch fish but you know... :mrgreen: It might happen from time to time if you're lucky. I had this one last weekend...
