do not cross anywhere near the airport...you will end up in trouble...airport or police...offlimit areas along shoreline
you would be better off going to cherry beach or clarke beach and cross the east channel to ward's island...far safer
bowfin are caught on plain hook and worm...
both kearney and i sight fish them... we find likely areas they can be found and visually search until we see them
then we offer them the worm...they sometimes take off...sometimes attack us...sometimes they swim around watching us....sometimes they sneek up on us ...watching us....othertimes i see them look for us but do not see us
and they make a mistake and take the worm....if were able to set the hook in their bone jaws we have a small chance of landing one...they are the most difficult fish for me to catch next to trout...
