What was your first species of fish you caught in Ontario?

My first fish I caught in Ontario was a Round Goby in the lower Credit river.

So far since starting fishing now that I'm older, I've caught nothing. LOL

I can't remember for sure (I must have been 5-6 years old) but most likely a sunfish or rock bass of the dock.

I suppose most people's first fish were a panfish, my first species caught was a goby but my second was a yellow perch.

My first fish was a crappie. But in terms of all water creatures, my first was snapping turtle, second was a crawfish (yes, it actually got stuck on my hook) and finally third was the crappie!

My first was a Rainbow Trout when i was about 4-5 years old at Glen Haffy

My first fish that I remember was a nice 2 lb speck caught in a culvert near Sundridge. It was the biggest brookie my father had ever seen come out of that stream and he had been fishing it for 20 years. He was pissed )

Don't remember... Probably a sunfish lol they are very common especially because I used to use worms

My first fish was a 2 pound yellow perch in the ottawa river with my dad he couldnt beleive it i had a mickey mouse buton rod must of been 3-4 years old... he still tells me that story to this day cuz i casted in a tree and he went to unhook it and fell in hehe... toobad i lost the picture ....

My first fish was a freshwater drum; ugly as sin and hardly a fighter in spite of its size. It's been downhill from then on; I can catch a goby in 60 seconds flat! (rod assembly included)

My first 3 times out I got skunked. Then on the way to Simcoe to rent a boat I threw up in the car. I was about 11 and sick but really wanted to go fishing. That day I fed alot of fish from barfing overboard..........lol. But was still able to catch sunfish. Next time I go out, to prevent getting skunked maybe I should hurl........... :mrgreen:lol Make it a tradition.
