Hey danz24, the Credit used to be my favourite place back when I lived in Mississauga. (UTM campus)

You can get almost everything in that river.

Buckhorn Lake in the Kawathras I never came back empty handed when fishing there always managed to catch some nice Bass lots of perch sometimes even hook into a Walleye.

Second best since going there last summer is Minisinakwa Lake in Gogama Ontario it has lots of Pike, Walleye perch SM bass and we never got skunked there either for the whole week we were there I am going again this summer this time for 2 weeks

I have not been to Buckhorn in a while I will definitely be planning a trip there June or July.

What blows me away is that in Ontario, we have over 400,000 lakes, so you could fish a new lake every day of your life and still come nowhere close to fishing the majority of these lakes. Of all those lakes, very few would have crappy fishing and here I am sitting in my house on a rainy day climbing the walls; at this point, any lake would be good.

I can definitely relate to what you are feeling that 2nd Saturday in May cannot come soon enough for me.

Long Point Bay and Port Maitland/Dunnville-as only about 30 minutes from Hamilton yet good pike, walleyes smallies/lM bass and panfish galore.Even from the shore fishing was often very good-a boat(inflatable at first, opened upa new world of angling possibilities)

My favorite place close to home would be the island and after that I haven't venture more then 2hrs drive to fish yet. Maybe this will be the year.

for me i would have to say sturgeon lake. if not then i would have to say ice lake.

My favourite place to fish is either Tyson lk or Southbay on the island.

Tyson is half way in on the killarney highway it has a cool channel about 2km long that is full of pike and largemouth then it leads into another lake called spoon that has largemouth smallmouth and pike or you can fish the big part that has a dam or many creeks that flow in.

Soutbay i've been going to for years we stay at a place called black rock resort it's just outside manitouwaning and theres a public boat launch and camp sites. great smallmouth fishing we've pulled them out between 4 and 6 pound which is alright by me. there is a long bluff probably 1km long with huge boulders just under the surface then it tapers into 35 ft of water or more. at the end of the bluff theres a huge flat filled with boulders from 2 to 12 ft deep talk about smallmouth country! and theres millions of crayfish!

my favorite place to fish is where there is no one in site for miles
but if you want a place id say okanagan lake
