I know everyone has their "go-to" lure.

Caught Bass, Trout, Pike, Perch & Salmon on this one. And I don't go fishing without it.

Really hard to name just one but some consistent producers for me are the Mepps Aglia (size 3), Black Fury (size 2), and Comet (size 3). The Aglia "Brite" (red body) was getting me a lot of largemouth last summer too.

I have high hopes for the spinners I make myself but haven't used them enough yet to crown one a favourite.

I haven't met an angler without a blackfury in their arsenal. I had size 1 to 3. I caught pike and brown on them but never bass. Although compared to the PM. I find the flash and spin of the PM a lot faster even on slow retrieve.

I have a few pm's and rooster tails too. But that's what I like about the mepps, I can burn it fast across and have the spinner move fast so I can slow the spinner right down and give it an injured look. Variety is key and it looks to me that mepps can deliver.

I've never had much success fishing bass with spinners, they've been deadly for me for pike though, even caught a bullhead on a mepps 5 once (one of my wierdest fishing experiences).

mepps 5 red and white, and that black fury CJR posted in size 5, and the mepps giant killer have caught me lots of pike, i want to try mepps musky killer but theyre expensive

Mepps for sure, although I've also had great luck with Dollarama spinners, and when you lose one it's less painful.

Bass, pike, walleye, catfish, all panfish, trout and salmon are all easy to catch with spinners, with the exception of perhaps catfish which is more of a rarity but does happen.

Black fury, comet, aglia, they're all good!!!

Yah man, the Mepps do come with a pretty hefty price tag. Dollarama Spinners are decent but not the same quality.

I started making my own and I've saved a lot of money. I use a few parts (bearings, stirrup clevice, premium brass blade) that Mepps doesn't so I find that I get a better spinner too.

Here they are, these ones have been used a bit and are already starting to get that awesome tarnish to them:

Size 2-3 anything blue fox. I have about fifteen, even three or four that are size 1-0. Smaller ones are from the glow series and are great in shallow water.

Mepps or Panther Martins for me
Dressed or not, I don't hink I could choose 1 over the other
I've had great success with both

Like MaxWedge, Mepps and Panther Martins, really love the Panther Martins. But my favourite would be a Black Fury dressed with feathers.

people really love black furies, I should get a couple of more sizes, i've been neglecting them in my spinning lately even though I used to catch fish on them all the time

I make my own. It's not nesicarily cheaper, but I get an excellent running, heavy spinner as a result, and they are deadly on both steelhead and smallmouth! Angling Specialties has always been my source for components!
