Alright just like the title says what is your philosophy for fishing if you have one?

My self I don't have a saying or anything like that I fish because its what I do ive been fishing since before I could remember, I like to try and be very minimalistic and don't necessarily think all the fanciest equipment in the world makes me a better fisherman cuz if it ain't broke don't fix it. When I am on the water I measure my successes not by how many fish I caught or how big they were but I measure it by pretending (in my head ) if I were in need of food would I be eating for that day.

Take in everything.... fishing to me is so much more then just catching the "fish".

Just go out and have fun, your life probably doesn't depend on your fishing ability so figure out what was wrong and fix it

just about the fish for me, but there is a certain satisfaction that comes with finally figuring out how to catch finicky fish.

Math and Science on fishing It helps a lot + fun + exercise + fresh air = ME

I have some mixed feelings about fishing, so much of the time is a stressful exhausting experience for me but that's how I make it for myself. Working 60 hour weeks and fishing hard all weekend, pulling an all nighter of prep and driving, braving the worst of weather conditions. When I hook up it makes it all worth it, time on the water is a valuable commodity.

When I am fishing I revel at the thought of catching fish. This is when I stop myself and say "Hey, look at the nature I am surrounded by. It's incredible".

This thought is sometimes hard to comprehend.

Like today, I saw a guy catch a salmon (that was already caught 5 minutes before) and try to revive it for 1 minute by the use of his foot. When he finished fishing (15 minutes later) I walked over, grabbed the Salmon and revived it for 20 minutes. To my delight, the Salmon recovered and swam by itself down river.

Basically, when fishing, respect nature because trees, shrubs, bugs and Salmon are nature. Appreciate the little things. Even if they are not 25 lbs.
