Check the regulations, not sure what area you are referring to.

There is a link on the front page of this forum,

Can't believe it's approaching that time of year again. I should make time to hit up a few trout spots.

September 30th will be the last day for many tribs.

September 30th will be the last day people can fish eastern tribs above Highway 2. December 31st is the last day people can fish above the CNR bridge. It's a good idea to check the regs yourself though!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I recall correctly, the Ganny is only south of CPR* after Sept 30th?

2012 regs
Additional Fishing Opportunities (4th Sat in Apr to Dec 31)
"...Ganaraska River which may only be fished downstream of the south side of the C.P.R. bridge."

Rainbow, brown trout and salmon open all year
Ganaraska River- between the southerly limit of the CNR right-of-way to Lake Ontario.

Directly from the regs infront of me. :D

Thanks for pointing that out! I guess what I posted only applies to tribs in the durham region, not all eastern tribs https://maps.google.ca/maps?q=Durham+County,+Ontario
