- Float fishing rivers: roe, worms, grubs, jigs etc... for browns, steel, bows, lakers, chinnys, suckers chub
- Bottom bouncing fishing lakes: landed pike and walleyes and bass all on my pin this summer on jigs on my pin
- Top water bass fishing lakes: jitterbug twitchin top water bass fishing on the pin, amazing.

I am going to rock it ice fishing this winter too.

you get a cp, you pretty much commit to float fishing and it can either get boring, or not produce.
Well all I have to say to you sir, is open your mind and expand your horizons. Going outside of the box can be as exciting as getting inside a box. Giggity.

Dude...tell me where to sign...i'd love to learn those too. I'm having fun with steelhead fishing but if I can do all of those...it would be awesome-er.

I started 2013 telling myself I want to smash as many species as I can on it and really try to adapt unorthodox methods with it summer - lake fishing. I am stoked on my outcomes. personal best both 9lb pike on the pin and 9.3lb eye on the pin.

well that depends, what do you have ?
Im not sure, I am assuming a 6ft rod. Thats all I know. I have no idea what these river rods will cost, i wont get the cheapest and I wont get the most expensive...somewhere in the middle and I'm sure i'll be fine. Girls do love sales though. Means more money for chocolate!

maybe i'll check it out in the morning, thanks CT you da man
i begged my dad for it but to no avail lol getting a raw for doing the flooring in my house, ill take that over money any day

i like spinning better overall since you can change type of fishing off bat. unless you take two rods. you get a cp, you pretty much commit to float fishing and it can either get boring, or not produce.
I chuck lures , jigs, bottom bounce and still fish with my pin!!! Once you are good enough with it you can fish any style and gear with it!! The only thing holding most people is the mind set that you have to have a specific rod and reel for a specific style or gear

i know of a guy that also trolled for lakers on a down rigger with his CP.

FG, go to gagnons, and check out their line of rods, they have a pretty good selection for under $100, the streamside rods are a no brainer imo

there is mooching reel that look like cp, that are for trolling. not saying that guy used it or not. just saying.

I hear of guys who stick a shoe lace in their pin then just pull it out when they hit a fish.

I've been using a centerpin for 13 years. I barely use any other reel. I just don't enjoy using it for other things. And yes every reel was meant to do a certain job better. I just take two rods if I'm not bushwhacking. One casting and float fishing.
