Winter Gear questions

I would have to say no. One hand has to be holding the rod and therefore would never be inside of the warmer. When it gets below freezing I switch from my pins to spinning set ups which I can fish with my " Blackhawk sub zero neoprene gloves " on. I also use the mittens that fold back, to expose your fingers, sometimes. I also have another set of neoprene gloves with slits in the fingers , but your hands get cold and wet when releasing fish. Many anglers keep small hand warmers in their jacket pocket, but I can't comment on these as I've never tried them.

Ya youre right, it's not very practical, is it? lol I mean, it's not a bad idea but for $100...I am rethinking this purchase.

Hot Paws hand wormers work great keep some in my ice fishing gear just shake to activate ,, I always buy 3 or 4 pk every winter put them in your mitts will keep you worm for 6 to 8 hrs there is some for your feet as well just shake them every once and awhile ,, better than spending all that money ,,

Waste of money...i'd say buy waterproof gloves...most winterjackets have handwarmers already...i mean side pockets for warming hands...

Hot paws hand warmers in your breast pocket of your waders works for me .. I buy a case every other year and use 4 at a time .. There's anew battery powered one that looks like a flask that gets really hot but I don't know where my coworker got it

this is what i have...$23.00...it's fleece...warm but not waterproof but i take it off when landing a fish.

These would probably be a smarter purchase

They even have a pocket to add handwarmers for those extra cold days ;)
Yep
I have those but in the finger design. Tips of my fingers get frostbitten everytime out. The heat pack built into the gloves are great also. On the really cold days I wear a liner glove under.
I think they have these at Sail
Never dip my hands in the ice water and I always carry a net.
