St Croix 9.6' Wild River MH /w a Stradic 4000 for Salmon. (20lb Power Pro tipped with 8lb or 12lb Seaguar Fluoro)
- Worked great for casting into the Lake, not the best on the river. Seems too short..
St Croix 7.6' Triumph H Muskie - No dedicated reel, but when I fish Muskie I'll throw my Shimano Curado on it /w 50lb Power Pro with 125lb Seaguar leader.
Shimano Convergence 7' M /w Daiwa Exceler 2500 (Line varies.. usually do 30lb Power Pro /w 12lb fluoro)
- Bass.
Abu Garcia Vengeance 6' M /w Shimano Symetre (8lb Seaguar Fluoro)
- Been trying to use this as a finesse rod... Sensitivity is not the best...
Abu Garcia Vendetta 7'6" MH /w Abu Garcia Revo SX (50lb Power Pro, 15lb SeaGuar Fluoro)
- Usually texas rig this one with senko worms.
Rapala R-Type 6'6" MH /w a Shimano Curado (50lb Power Pro, 20lb Seaguar Fluoro)
- Crankbait.. / frog.
I'm still debating what to do with my extra Curado. No I'm not going to give it away  .. I'm thinking about getting a St. Croix Tourny Jig & Worm... but I'm also debating if I want to get into fly fishing which will suck up a ton of money!
Oh.. I'm also debating to downsize my fluoro to maybe 12lb at most to get better action.. I think I'm losing bites b/c the fluoro is too stiff wrecking the action...
BTW if I were to do it all again, I would do St Croix rods all the way... Stradic for spinners and Curados for baitcasters.. Maybe a Voltaeus as a crankbait rod but definitely a curado reel. Night and day difference between the curado and the revo sx. As for rods, what can I say, I love my St Croix rods... Sensitivity is amazing... workmanship is solid.. Made in USA... I can't wait to get a St Croix Tourney rod...
For line, trust me I've tried almost all of the major braid players... I'll only buy PowerPro moving forward. Spiderwire, seems to be all marketing fluff - which sucked me in... invisibraid my as*... I probably won't stray away from Seaguar... Tried Trilene Pro 12lb Fluoro on a spinning setup - first cast was ok. - when I opened the bail for the second cast, a small gust of wind unraveled a good portion of my reel. Seemed like the line was possessed! Never had a problem with Seaguar even at the 15lb. I did have 1 break on Seaguar line but it was my fault... Felt some abrasion on the line after fishing through some heavier cover, was meaning to re-tie after the next cast, who knew that I would get a bite... 3 awesome jumps and then snap... put it this way, I learned my lesson.
So in summary, St Croix for Rods, Curados for baitcasters, Stradics for spinning, Power Pro for braid, SeaGuar for Fluoro...
Wymen.
