Well after a late start 10am (Dead Battery) I drove back to Moon river after Pike and Walleye (at least that was the Plan) lanched the one boat, but the second well dead outbourd, luck only a 45 min delay for a quick run out and new motor so we are on the water by Noon, OMFG Moon river is Honestly over 6 feet high and MOVING. Seen one large Pike surface ( think it was chasing a bass) we trolled down and where going to pull are boats over a 6 foot high beaver dam into a side lake off the Moon river, Well the river is so high the Lake is a Side Bay no sign of the dam or the rocks under the boats. We hooked into afew small Pike right into the lake, there was some current and I think thats what was holding the pike there. trolled around the lake and no hits, we found an fast flowing in-stream and caught 3 Pike there 1 on a #6 (RED) Bluefox inline spinner and 2 on golden shinners 3 feet under a float. the other boat with us caught 1 pike on a 6inch silver crank bait.
We then went to shore for shore-lunch/supper (4pm) it was GOOD but as we are eatting a phone rings and we must head out as one of the groups wife NEEDS him for some reason. all in all a OK day fished 4 hours, had a lunch.
Only REAL downside was I triped loading the boats up at the end and fell on my metal fuel tank chest first, Beleive me My ribs are still sore. Sorry for no pic as my fishing camera is now truely dead, will not even come on, but I got 2 years out of it ($40 camera at wallmart)
