2.5" ID Pipe for soft fishing rod case

PVC plumbing pipe of ID 2 1/2 does exist, as far as i know, but really hard to come by. It is probably a typo but you mentioned 2" and 4" pipes. Did you try 3" ID pipe? Try electric conduit pipes they are way easier to find here is the example...

Hey, Only fished with regular hooks and looking expand my gear.

There are very few universal lures. It depend on what species you are targeting in what body of water and what weather conditions. Considering you are just starting I am assuming you are fishing from shore. To build a beginners set I would suggest couple of each in different weight. In-line...

Flouro Leader Pound test floating for Steelies

And I know people who enjoys being whipped ;) On a serious note even ultralight pound test leader would work under certain circumstances with the right rod and enough room to tire the fish. Problem in my opinion is fight become to long and to stressful for fish to survive after release.

New Here and To Fishing :) Loving it so far!

Welcome hz75 Water is to cold for most species of fish to be active this time of year. There are fishing opportunities still. One of them is migratory rainbow trout aka steelhead, or bows or many other names :) In fact this is the fish almost everyone is trying to catch before the ice covers...

    Mimico Creek

Water levels are low everywhere around GTA. Only decent fishing is at the deeper portions of the streams. Mimico is a small creek to begin with. You might have a better luck at Humber river just 5 minute away. Nevertheless learning your backyard creek could be rewarding. Keep trying.

    Need help with baitcaster

In general smaller diameter line means longer cast. With baitcaster it is usually not about a distance but accuracy. I'd suggest field practice. Cast some lures in the water and get a potential benefit of landing something :)

Do I Need To Oil My Baitcaster Out Of The Box

I my opinion it is not compulsory but it definitely would not cause any damage. After all oiling your reels is extremely relaxing activity.
