SalmonTroutta- Normally Id agree with you and there are alot of things that I post and use my discretion on. This is a story that I felt was important enough to share with the forum, alot of people (myself included) think that these calls are a waste of time as nothing is ever done. The fact...

    MNR Tips line works!!!

This weekend we went out to Ottawa for the weekend. On our way back we had planned to stop at an East Trib, as my luck would have it. I discovered that I had forgot to pack my rod and gear when we got there. Apon pulling up I could see the fish were in thick, but there were also ALOT of...

    Flossing...

Sorry, I should have explained it better, lets say you have a Mepps with a treble on it, this can be considered a "weighted treble" by definition. Think about it, the body of the spinner is weighted. Although its obvious when someone is tossing a treble with a huge weight into a pool and...

    ***Early August Salmon Run Confirmed***

Open water vs a small body of water Having fished both, I can tell you pier fishing is about the open water fight, the 100 yard dash, beaching the fish ect. Requires alot heavier gear (as far as I have used and seen people using) also the suspense of not knowing if there are fish around River...

    ***Early August Salmon Run Confirmed***

Saturday proved dis-appointing, I thought with the rain and cooler EVENING air temps we woulda seen something moving up. I went 0-2 but only fished a total of maybe 2 hours, we also go to the river's edge a bit late (9am) had the kiddies with us.

    Flossing...

Legit question here. Aren't most rivers and tribs "no treble hook zones"? I know where I fish its illegal to use trebs. Seem them at the rivers edge all the time.

    Couldnt believe my eyes!!

Throwing rocks at or around people can end up in legal actions. All you need was a video and to feel you are threatened you have been able to persue at very least assult charges. Again- if one of those rocks hit you, would it have been worth it?

    Couldnt believe my eyes!!

Your completely right, I would be ripe mad. However, there must have been something that took place before a tackle-box went into the water (unless someone is clinically diagnosed with something I cant see someone just looking for tackle-boxes @ the shores edge) At the point of the...
