i only fish in the more northern area (lake nippising or french river) we always eat what we catch pike is ok but has "y" bones which are hard to get rid of There is nothing better that some fried pickeral we ussually dredge it in some pancake mix and fry it in butter DELICIOUS!

i like to fish for pike/walleye I use a 1/16 jig topped with a minnow

thanks for the info We are a bunch of novices and tend to like still fishing much more than trolling Any particular bait's lower or presentations i should be using? Last year i had my best year ever using a white 1/16 oz crappy jig with a minnow i caught a bunch of hammer handles and 6 lbs pike...

Hello all I am going up for my annual fishing trip to nippising( May 21-24th,08) usually catch walleye and or pike any tips or suggestions? Any help you could offer would be much appreciated

don't fret just keep at it. I like you am pretty novice i am only able to ge a couple of time a years last year i caught my biggest fish a pike just over 6lbs once i figure out how to add a picture i will post it!
