We headed out about a mile from St Williams today in about 6 feet of water and nailed a dozen keepers and many throwbacks in a matter of 3 hours. Great day with Sleded, Sugarpacket and I and the best part was the shore lunch at home! Fried perch, Busch and CHICKEN WEINERS! OHHH YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

I've only had a chance to fish Lake Erie tributaries so far. Not too many fish around, big ones are even fewer, but it's still fun. Gonna head out Hamilton way next week and see what I can scrape up fish-wise.

Down here they are in shallow, weed flats in 6 feet of water just infested with them. Lots of hammer handles but some up to 10lbs have been caught. I used to fly fish a lot, and after breaking my rod on a big salmon I just never got another one and therefore got out of it. It's a lot of fun, especially if you fish alone. I bet it would be great from a float tube too!
