    Very true Alfiegee, Most anywhere North of Sudbury/Norhtbay Line you get FAR less fishing pressure, thus WAY better fishing. Nip River is a dream fishing spot to go thou, I hope to go one day as well

    I go North of Sudbury, on the 144 from Sudbury to Timmins there are 100s of lake just off the Highway, may with gravel parking lots and boat launchs, there is good fishing for the trouts, pike and walleye in most lakes, and most of the area is bass open all year, I guess the bass are alll over...

    The regs do say an OSS fish is to be released ASAP so taking a pic of an OOS fish is tech breaking the law, I guess I am giultyof it aswell. Btut in my eyes it takes realy arse hole of a CO to charge you with it. IMO

    Do people eat Brown Trout?

    I eat Brown Trout, they are good, posted afew pic from a summer camping trip back in Aug, we got some nice 3.5 to 7 pound brown, we kept them all (7 fish), But then again that was on a stocked lake too.

    Went out this afternoon around 2pm to cheak the ice, too my ice rod just in case. roped areselfs togeather and started out slow, good 5 to 7 inch of ice on this one small back woods lake. fished 1hour and a half caught 5 perch, 6 sunfish and 8 small bass in 12 FOW.

    Portage is still open in the middle, silver is iced over but its not safe yet. we get a week of cold weather and I may go and cheak, but till then I would say off med to larger lakes for now

    Maybe wacky rigging a 6 inch worm, ( hooking the 6 inch worm in the middle and let it sink slowly) this could work for both Pike and maybe a few other types of fish((bass, trout and even some catfish or carp)) all great fighting fish. and this way it almost forces you to fish slow. an other idea...

    Are you talking about casting or iceishing?? I thought you where talking ice fishing...... casting wise: I would try a large soft body bait 4 inch shad-like minnow or a 6 inch worm go bright color (hot pink or green)

    I do not have a Mr.Buddy Heater, I use a single burner cooking stove, and I leave the tanks on all the time. I would say your heater SHOULD be able to handle the tanks being attached all the time, My only thought is if the switch that turns the heater on. Can in be turn on easy?? I mean you do...
