We headed out about a mile from St Williams today in about 6 feet of water and nailed a dozen keepers and many throwbacks in a matter of 3 hours. Great day with Sleded, Sugarpacket and I and the best part was the shore lunch at home! Fried perch, Busch and CHICKEN WEINERS! OHHH YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

Not too many fish around, big ones are even fewer, but it's still fun.

I used to fly fish a lot, and after breaking my rod on a big salmon I just never got another one and therefore got out of it. It's a lot of fun, especially if you fish alone. I bet it would be great from a float tube too!
I have experimented with red hooks many times in the past for bass, and it didnt seem to have any visible effect. Maybe it's different with other species?
