I do think it's over fished. http://www.grenadierpond.com, I'll be updating the site real soon. This year, they restocked the pond with bass and pike. I've seen more crappie present in the past 2 years.

I go to Grenaider Pond every weekend. This week I went there 4 days. I'm heading there tomorrow and plan on using minnows. I've used minnows there for the first time ever and caught a few bass. I'm still wondering why I couldn't be able to catch any black crappie. Nice report.

I know that lure may seem like a bass lure. But I would never purposely target bass. This lure can catch all kinds of species.

Today I went to visit High Park and fished the Grenadier Pond. I got there @ 1:30 and the weather was sunny until it started to shower. There was a mix of both sun and rain but I managed to catch a lot of hand size sunfishes using shrimp. http://img45.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00148zf3.jpg...

HAha too late...I went to STC today..i picked up the spoon bait...and 1 crank bait...and also a jerk bait...Well..looking at it..it looks flimsy..the eye where you tie the line is connected to the plastic lip of the bait..but the spoon looks promising for pike. I'll tell you guys how well they...

I really believe these lures will work. You can't really judge it unless you try it to see for yourself.

After reading this post, I went to check dollarama at yorkgate but all they had were poppers. I was so disappointed. Lucky I bought 1 pack of inline spinner baits before finding out they were sold out today..it actually works, I've caught a perch with it. I might travel the far distance to buy...

Some of these lures actually work for Pike. I remember someone posting a report about the dollarama lures on OFN Community.

I go to grenadier pond every single week. So far the species i've caught and see swimming around are Bass, sunfishes, perch, black crappie, bullheads.

I'll be at the island around 2:00 - 5:00 for the centreville job fair. After that, I'll be fishing till 7.

I'd have to say it was around 9-10 inches, it was big because it couldn't fit my hand around it. It put a little good fight on my ultralight rod.

I don't fish from the wooden platform, I have a secret spot on that pond which I choose not to share. I've been fishing there for a while and I'm almost used to the pond. Well just that day, I found that spot with the perches. I might there again tomorrow.

Because its a crappy report, I'm going back soon with a camera.

Got to High Park @ 1, started fishing from the wooden platform, no bites. I moved towards the north side of the pond near the swamp, hooked my self a jumbo perch on my bobber + pink maggot powerbait. Next cast, caught another one. Then I moved around along the shore and caught another two. In...

I'm so mad! I had to go to school today and hand in my projects, but I ended up doing them over again and I missed out on fishing today. However, I will be fishing tomorrow!

Yeps, really rare! And also, theres a sign that tells you not to fish for bass or pike because of imbalance of panfishes taking over the pond. And If you do catch either one, you'll have to release it back.
