big bay has 6-8"

BOQ (west) near big bay has 8 inch of ice, lots of fish out there... few snow machines out and about but not to far out. the main channel under the Bellville bridge only froze over in the last few days, but the bays have been solid for few weeks now.

My buddy at work was out on BOQ in the smaller bays, had a good time, ice was 6-9 inch thick. hey got into a few good eyes, and some perch.. he said there was quite a few people already out there.. this cold weather will help the ice out alot. i will be heading up there this sunday to see for...

I will have some news about BOQ areas by morning, had a friend head up there few days ago to try some early bay ice fishing.. I managed to get out to a few more ponds around the Pairs area, all the ice was 4-8 inch's still, maybe a lil less after yesterdays rains. but that will all change this...

yeah temps are not going to keep things safe, some harbors already have 6 inch's of ice, had a friend out on some Ontario tribs few days, got a few bows.

lol when i see people coming i begin to cast like a noob and swing my rod all over... no one wants to fish beside someone who looks as if they are trying to swat flys with their rod... lol some do give it a try, but keep their distance....

getting there at 3-4 am is the way to do it! if u want "your" spot, even then you dont always get it! i always show up before sunrise and do a walk around to pick up trash and find others left behinds! last time i found a perfect new container for my roe bags! thanks forgetful people!!:)
