I talked to one of my friends who has been making a trip to Gananoque the last 15 summers he said make sure you have some spinner baits and spoons . He said any deep weed edges you will find Pike they also fish the points of a couple of the islands and do well on Bass . Good Luck

My friends catch them on rocky shoals in pretty deep water in July . Take your fly rod and big streamers Pike are a blast on fly tackle .

Give the smaller whopper plopper a try . We use the big one for Muskies and catch 4 and 5 lb Bass on them . I have the smaller sizes they work well on smallies .

If you are looking for guys to fish the Kawartha lakes try posting on the Kawartha lakes board . I know of several guys on there that would chip in for gas to fish Balsam . Sturgeon or Pigeon . If you are looking for Pike they have been catching some on Balsam along with Muskies and some nice Bass .

Just got a couple reports from friends who fished Balsam and Sturgeon over the weekend . Best lures were Bulldogs and spinner baits they saw and boated several over 40" including a 42" Tiger . I also sent you a PM hope it helps .Good Luck
