I just looked at the regs over and over in zone 16 brook trout is closed except for one lake... Wtf man?! You call yourself a guide? If I'm wrong I'm sorry. But if im right your a douche bag.

Best to Check things before ...
The time stamp on the pictures (Properties) shows: SEPT 30, 2011

 Not only are the pictures dated, as Blair pointed out, but I also made mention in this very thread about the fact that the season closes on September 30th and that those wishing to fish for resident trout need to pick a date accordingly.

This post calls for a new rule to be implemented on the forum:

All members must be at least 12 years of age.

Also, float down made an honest mistake. We all do.

It's best not to cut him any slack. His comment was completely ignorant, foolish and rude. Not an honest mistake. Better he learn on an internet forum than in a classroom or at work.

Lol I don't really care, either way you were taking spawning native brook trout and that seems more ignorant then any amount of offensive Internet posts that anyone could dish out. Keep at er though man, glad you're profiting off of a sport that's ruined by people who don't give a crap. And for the record... I'm not twelve. I'm five.

I will always be an advocate of giving native species preference over introduced species. Call me crazy but I would rather see someone take a limit of rainbows or browns over a limit of pike or bass. Native Brook trout should be one of the most respected species in my mind as they are the only native salmonid species we have around here.

You are regurgitating Catch & Release hysteria/paranoia. When you buy a Mepps lure on the back it says "Practice a selective harvest, for the future."

I had 2 other fishermen with me that day. We each took one brook trout I believe, the rest were browns. We released several trout that day. This creek is literally never fished by anyone else, and it is saturated with trout. In some sections, yes, it was a trout on every drift, for all of us.

I believe fun is ruined by people with bad attitudes. I've seen internet forums deteriorate because of just one or two bad apples.

Keep at er though man, glad you're profiting

You didn't learn from your mistake. Read the thread before you post. Profit? I am not even offering this service anymore, for any species.

That's enough of your garbage posts. Speaking of garbage, I spent several hours cleaning garbage at one location. Got some areas spotless, and others are still very much littered. May have to go again and contact the municipality regarding putting up some No Littering signs.

I was going to pass by this thread and not post, but could not tolerate what was said

I went fishing with ST two times, in one occassion, he did teach me to catch Salmon/trout, by getting them to bite, not flossing them or snagging, like majority do! Since then I do enjoy river fishing, as otherwise I had to break the line everytime! In the second occassion, he introduced me to fishing for resident fish! It was superfun and a new experince. We did keep one of each species, as those were my first brook & brown trouts (and we released many more than we kept), but I think I will be relasing all of them from now on, just becuase they are too pretty and too small to be eaten. My personal preference, not to preach others to do the same

If ST did one thing, that was to make me (and other people who went with him) a better fisherman. I know that some people do not practice proper fishing, but getting mad at them or swearing at them is only making them more aggressive, and ST is clearly not one of them, the opposite in fact!

I wish for every new fisherman we had an experinced buddy/mentor, to teach them good fishing skills and conservation as well. The effect is impressive

That aside, as I had suggested in another post, if you think you have a loud voice and a good rational, pressure MNR to change the limits, rather than picking on a fellow fisherman! As long as one is legal, he/she is OK! Less tension on or off water is best for everyone!

Apologies to all who were offended by my posts. I have had some amazing mentors and am a better fisherman because of it. Although I didn't have to pay for it, it came to me free, but I think I've learned a lot more through trial and error. I just really hate seeing brookies taken the day before season ends and especially that size. Brook trout were native in almost every single lake stream and river in Ontario and were wiped out because they were so easy to catch and easy to find in the fall.
Samonutra, you shouldnt get so defensive especially if you are righteous in your own mind, I'm a very blunt and vocal individual. Do what you need to do and don't let others get to you. Especially through the Internet.

Im not sure its accurate to say he was easily offended...u called him a douchebag...Wasnt the end of the world but I wouldnt exactly call what you just said an apology.
