After seeing the water yesterday, I was feeling pretty confident about fishing today. The water was slushy in the morning so I waited until it cleared up. Once it did, it was pretty consistent action from there. Today, I tried to catch as many as I could, but as the sun went down I had to settle for 9.

This 34 inch beauty had a trout bead in her mouth. It looked as though someone lost her?

I've never seen a male so silver this time of year. Late spawner?

I hope you scratch the itch Garfield.

CC it did give one heck of a fight. But how did you know? lol. Anyway, I was thinking it might be one of those late April spawners. Gotta love the silver.

Interested in the lure you use too! Also the river you're fishing but I understand that holes are better found than told

Something interesting happened with the one in the 7th pic. I spotted its shadow in a relatively slow pool along with another one. When I swung the lure in front of their face they both went after it. The one in pic is the one that bit. It felt pretty darn good watching it hit. Brought back great memories of w!lmot.

Rainbow, nice job. That is as fresh as fresh gets, really digging that chrome fish  Beats the colored up boots I hit this morning

Good job man! Damn, I'm still yet to catch one on hardware. I always debate on leaving the float gear at home and grabbing my casting stuff, but I never want to carry that much stuff around with me.

NICE!

Congrats on an epic outing!

(heading to BPS tomorrow to pick me up some hotntots!)

lol I was super excited after that ninth one because if I caught one more, I would have been able to brag about having a double digit day. It's actually a long story, but to make it short the sun was going down and there were two fly guys beating the hell out of water at the pool I was gonna fish. When they left I immediately jumped in and started working the pool. It took a while, but I eventually got one to hit and had it on for about 5 seconds and it was gone. Maybe next week :)
