a glimpse of my soon to be fishing spot

Help Support Ontario Fishing Forums:

two things, first i would like to mention that this stretch of the humber comes from lake wilcox, so any of the fish from there could be in there, but i doubt that the bigger fish like pike would br in there, and second, the pond has been there for a long time but when the suburbs aound it were built i believe some work was done on the pond.

I see. It's also connected to Lake St. George which has a vast fish population.

And just to give you an idea of how many ponds fall into this category (that I mentioned in my last post), here is the Humber River:

Now think about how many ponds are connected to this system alone. :D

All Lake Ontario Tributaries flow into Lake Ontario, including the Humber River.

You're probably correct, but take a look at this fish caught in one of the ponds. This picture is from the GTA reports section. It's a pond that's connected to a river system that is full of bass and pike. So you never know...

BTW, the pond that this fish was caught in is in the middle of a suburb and is listed in the maps section. :D

haha. yeah nah not upstearm, only downstream, lol. thats why were the humber enters into lake O its all brown, well part n most the reason there.

yes but no. dont forget currents, some would get carried out to the bottom of the lake, n some would stay were it is.

something horrible is happening :D , theres contruction going on at the pond that just started yesterday and they have digging machines, they're just dumping the rocks and soil and plastic shit right onthe ice :p , i hope they cean that up before the ice melts

I hope they clean that up before the ice melts, but I don't think they will. I would call the city and report it just to be safe. It would be interesting to hear what the city has to say about it.

i think they're acctually from the water maintenance department, they're digging near the water drain for the sewers

i checked out the pond but didn't take any pictures, there was a thin layer ice but i still managed to see one big shadow move through the water, wonder what it was???
