I was there first week of August last year. Used a simple worm with a bullet weight (1/4oz), braided line, baitcaster, med-hvy. and just fished from a dock. Literally there were fish jumping out of the water hitting flies on the surface. I lost a decent size Large mouth there and it still haunts me. managed to get it to the dock but when i went down to get it forgot to tighten the line...beginner mistake. Won't let that happen again. I actually caught a turtle too at night using a DEAD goby (i killed it after catching it on my worm). Oh yeah theres lots of gobies here too. Good food source for the smallies and apparently turtles too.
