was at bronte today! got there around 2:00pm only few people out. many saying they got a few chromers..

went up stream from the parking spot, water was not bad at all, still high, almost greenish color.
found some slower water near some pools and had at it for a few hours. water vis was about a foot or so..

once again, i didnt even get a bite.. (wrong color bags) my buddy landed 3 real nice ones.... all with in an hour or soo...
after that is was getting dark so we headed out, back to the car by 5:00....

about 10 people in all we seen. everyone was getting fish, but it was hard fishing.. so they say...
there must be some new chrome comeing up form the high levels last week.. (wed, thurs,) think i may try again tomorrow,
or the whirl pool!!!

cheers!

fished three screeks today and every one had diffenerent levels of vis. from gin clear to pea soup all had water levels up but dropping fast due to the flash freeze......conditions are mint and the winds were on shore as an added bonus. got another GB brown today will put the pic up when i get it sent to me....havent seen many up here the past years.... but they seem to be making a comeback this one was a natural.

My friend and I may have been 2 of the 10 people you saw at that time yesterday LogJam. We got 12 nice Chromers and 3 Browns between us, also saw lots. I didn't think the fishing was that hard :) I don't normally keep many fish but I did get 1 that was hooked really badly, about 5 lbs. It inhaled the hook on my Mepps Black Fury. As a result I dined on some delicious Rainbow last night and this morning.

Being a lake O fish, how did it taste? I've eaten both a salmon and a rainbow from lake O and found that they were both rather tasteless.
Not to toot my own horn, but I am a good cook and it tasted great. I don't make a habit of keeping Lake O fish, actually I try not to, but I had the option of people food or turtle food and I figure 1 trout every 3 years or so is not going to kill me. I do eat a number of Specks I catch up north every year and it wasn't as good as they are.
Maybe I added the flavor, lemon, onions, mushrooms and some garlic butter in the body cavity and then wrapped in foil and tossed on the BBQ. Silver dollar fried potatoes and some baked beans and it was almost like a northern shore lunch :)

Not time for a new hobby. A bad day of fishing is always better than a good day at work. Yeah, I maybe putting myself in a position to incur the wrath of other members, but we were above the QEW too.
You can fish for days and days and get nothing LogJam, no matter what you do. Then all of a sudden you are on the fish. Don't give up my friend. They are there.

Alfie is right Logjam i took me two and a half weeks of fishing to get my first nook this year but then i got into a run of good fishing. now its seems like i'm going to end my season on a more mediocre note. sometimes its a grind dude, but perseverance and confidence will pay off.you can catch these fish. try stalling your drifts the water is cold now and fish are less aggresive.
