Thank you so much I dont think I will fish it with this gear.

but i don't know if my reel will hold 30 lb braid. i think i would lose a lot of distance casting.
braid casts better than mono. 30lb shouldn't be a problem. I have 3 setups for bass not including my fly setup. 1 for heavy going through cover. 7ft heavy on 25lb. braid texas rig. 1 for light drop shotting / wacky I use an 8'6" M rod with 12 or 15lb. mono. I toss them on weedlines (this is by far my most productive set up) then i use topwater frogs on a light 9ft salmon rod 10lb. mono. I don't like casting long when using frogs...caught too many gulls when running them long enough. I prefer about 30-40ft on frogs...

Excellent Dill !
And NO overkill. Lol
Tube guy doesn't get SARCASM.
But he sure knows how to edit lb test suggestions. Ha

Nothing sarcastic about being a negative "A- HOLE" !

Do you actually have a life other trolling.
Or is this how you build up your confidence by anonymously
stirring up problems everywhere you can.

I have a great idea
Maybe you should take up fishing for a hobby !!!

Perhaps we can fish together in person some day
I'd love to see you fish ,

Tight lines

You sound angry .
Fishing together just wouldn't work.
Your line is heavier than my anchor rope.

No not angry,
Actually quite amused about your lack of social skills

Your absolutely correct.
Fishing with you would be impossible for me.
I'd be too weak from Rolling around laughing to even stand up & cast my line.

I would defiantly stay on shore & watch in disbelief as your Lilly pads fall apart & you drift off floating on a log.

Just can't believe you use braided fishing line for an anchor rope.
Maybe this is why you have a Lilly Pad & log fetish.
You fish from a log framed Lilly pad boat, that's why you only need braided fishing line for an anchor.

You might not realize braided line cuts through weeds leaving the roots intact.
Monofilament line collects all the weeds ripping them from the roots.
Monofilament kills more wildlife than ever want to imagine

Your a true mono loving environment destroying "Know it All" aren't you ?

I have a question for you !

Have you ever posted anything positive in your I tire life ????

Or is your goal to present yourself as a Know Nothing Obnoxious Dumb Arse.

You still sound angry.lol
Quote me another paragraph from the Florida everglades tackle guide.

Set up seems fine, i do it all the time with similar conditions and pull out the occasional 5+ pounder. Set your drag right and try to steer them away from thick stuff. The set up doesn't need to be too specific or complicated

50+ braid some people need to learn how to fight a fish rather than just pull it in. Rookies.

8lb mono can easily be used to land almost anything it's called drag.

For all those who need 50lb line to land a 4lb fish I say your missing out on a big part of the fight that makes it so entertaining.
