I did that once. Was floating roe with pinners and the fish weren't paying any attention so I tied on a spinner and hooked a fish first cast. The pinners left immediately. I felt really bad. So I won't do that again
. Mmm.....interesting, and they al left ehh.

Just please, please, take a minute before you low hole someone swinging flies. A lot of people don't understand river etiquette with regards to different fishing methods, but this is one way to make a person angry as all hell!

It happens on a daily basis when rivers are crowded... Instead of starting a fight I normally opt to pick up and move somewhere else, or if I am in a bad mood Ill just keep swinging through, and eventually snag their rig and make a mess out of it. Guaranteed my line isn't going to be the one breaking!

Haha, moved as soon as a I realized. Everyone was in a good mood and catching fish so nothing bad came out of it.

Ethics go two ways though. When conditions are really crowded, why should one guy be entitled to take up half the pool?

Personally I am just going to continue being friendly and try to be considerate of others. Maybe it will catch on lol

Also the issue of not reeling in when someone else hooks up seems to be a common thing during the salmon run. I lost some nice fish because of this.
