I'm going to try it pretty much because I haven;t fly fished in forever but I think I wouldn't fair badly.

Nice fish! What fly is that? Looks like it could be used on a spinning set up...NADO said:Here's a pic from my less than spectacular outing last Thursday. High winds and dense cover around the pond made for very difficult fly fishing. A spinning setup would have been much more effective in this case but the fly was still fun for the novelty side of things.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.NADO said:Its actually a jig, I hammered crappie through the ice on that jig this winter so I figured it would work. I dont have many flies after losing my box full of flies so I just grabbed whatever I could find in the garage.
For 40 bucks its a pretty nice looking fly rod, wooden reel seat and all.
