They are KILLERS in a FISH TANK!
My brother would always REMOVE a claw on his crayfish, cause if he didnt .... every morning, a different fish would be gone.

You could always try... Start with something like a goldfish, their cheap and if it gets killed and your daughter wants another you can pick on up easily. Try finding a green guppy on a sunday afternoon...

Try with some "Cheap Ones".... even with one claw, they (Crayfish) are still KILLERS
