Hey whats up everyone. Im not sure if any of you live in Scarborough or travel here, but the Canadian tire at cederbrae mall Has A CRAP LOAD of rapala lures on clearance. I managed to scoop all of these for $40.13. Would have been an easy $90. Hope you guys can take advantage of this too.

lol, have you used the cranks from the dollar store, I bought about 10 of them and still have 7 still in the pack, and dont plan to use them.....however the top water knock off of a hula popper is alright.

Did they have a sign saying clearance?
No, its just where they keep their lures. the peg they are hung on that says the price will be red. they had stuff for 79 cents but that was gone before I got to it.

And yea AC, X-raps are pretty damn nice. I cant wait to use my Trolls-to-20 lure.

Dollar store for real, I am not sure how they compare but for the price they do work!

ya that dollar store stuff is crap. try hooking into a salmon off a pier with one of their spoons, the hook will bend wide open.

From personal experience, Dollarama (NOT Dollar Store, they are 2 separate stores, in case people didnt know) lures can be a hit or miss. Their spoons, spinners and spinnerbaits (all the "metal" lures) work perfectly. Their crankbaits and topwater frogs can be great, but can also be absolute garbage. From the dozen or so crankbaits iv bought, only had 3-4 bad ones, and everything else performed just like brand name lures. For the amount of money iv spent, and the number of working lures i got, its totally worth it for me.

As far as hooks go, Iv never had them bend, at least not on non-salmon stuff. Actually, I never had a hook been bent from a fish fight. Still waiting for it to happen.
The kind of hooks that tend to fail are the bronze/copper colored ones, as I can bend them with my fingers.

Those are awesome buys. Some people are happy with dollarstore lures but...it's like comparing a bmw m3 to a corolla...both will get you "there" BUT! I used to have only rapalas in my tackle. but losing them has burnt a very big hole in my pocket. I started trying out other lures. smithwicks, diawas (my favorite), rebels they all work just as good as rapalas for half the price. Never tried dollarstore lures though.

Random I know, but fitting title.

This morning I went into make a bill payment on my CT MC. They had all outdoor trees on clearance regualr $300 on for like $10-$25 lets just say I bought more than a few.

Thank god I work for a trucking company they are going to pick them all up and deliver it to my house!

I just came back from my local CT. I was looking for clearance Rapala lures but I didn't see any on sale.
They had little red ticketed items but these 2 were the only ones worth mentioning...

I picked up a 1/4 oz Booyah Boogee Bait for CLEARANCE @ $3.53 in this colourway...

And this 3/8 oz Booyah Boogie Bait for CLEARANCE @ $4.03 in this colourway...

I think retail was around $7-9?
That's the only 2 sizes/colours available at my local CT. I heard good things about them so I hope they produce fish.

The next time i go, i'll just snap pics to make it easier.

If you guys find any other interesting deals at CT, please add to this thread.

Dollarama hooks > top end hooks from my experience, never had one break on a salmon and I'm talking 10+ salmon on the same hook.
