Is anyone catching any numbers on the credit? I was there last Friday and landed two. The water looked perfect to me but I don't fish the credit much - nice green but had lots of debris in the water. I thought this river would be loaded but it was tough fishing.

First season steelheading, only fished the credit and managed to catch one, any river suggestions for a beginner with more fish?
Thanks

I've found Bronte to be pretty good, based on other people's accounts and also seeing other anglers hooking up.

I've just started trout fishing this year as well and I've only had hookups on the eastern tribs. You can try out Port Hope, Bowmanville, Duffins, Oshawa, Wilmot, Rouge, maybe even the Don River.

Good luck!

anyone heading out this weekend? if so where? ...lol

where might i find a good place to start, if i go to the credit? parking, ect...

Do you float fish the river for salmon/steelhead by letting the bait flow in the current and retrieve it when it goes too far away, then just cast it out downstream and repeat?

Yeah, that is pretty much what everyone does
