I eat stocked trout( 99% rainbow) rarely catch wild trout and most likely will release it, I might keep walleye to eat as well, I've kept pike before but gave it to my nieghbour to eat and he said it was muddy tasting but always wanted to fillet pike and fry it but maybe pike from somewhere clean not Lake ontario for example.

I've had pike lots and it tastes geat, I usually keep a few early in the season when the water is colder. Once the water warms up some of them get worms (black spots) , perch get them too.. apparently it's fine to eat them, but I don't. but early season, they taste great.

i only fish in the more northern area (lake nippising or french river)
we always eat what we catch pike is ok but has "y" bones which are hard to get rid of

There is nothing better that some fried pickeral we ussually dredge it in some pancake mix and fry it in butter
DELICIOUS!

it depends on the lake if there is a good number of different sizes of the fish i am going for
and if i have food in the fridge i let 90% go to get nice and big for the kids to catch.
