It's a big lure that didn't work on salmon. Wrong time, no salmon biting on the pier. I'm gonna give Rice a try with it and keep you updated. Hope I didn't waste my $2............lol. :?
 
The day I went out to buy another of those 100 pack of hooks... they put them away... HUGE BUMMER! I loved those hooks and they served me well all year so far!

Does any dollarama still have the hooks? PM me or post here :D

Maybe if I ask nicely they'll find them for me!

I watched their stock sail higher and higher all year thinking they were already overpriced... Now they're REALLY overpriced. Just my 0.02 :)
 
Going long on Dollarama is as sure a bet as drifting a big roe sack by a pod of fresh steelies in early November.

I had that in blue, lost it to weeds :angry: in Oshawa. I still have the red. Awesome Krugz, I'm gonna save it for next year. Thanks for posting the pic.
 
Kugz I'm going to have to agree, those spoons are amazing. And if you lose one, you're only out a buck! They come in two different sizes, both sizes are great. I prefer the green, but I doubt the colour makes much of a difference.
 
I love my fishing vest, it carries everything I need. But with the fluctuating temps wearing too much in the morning and then having to shed during the afternoon, I figured that there should be a vest with removable sleeves. They are not cheap for one, and I already have my vest and don't want to upgrade. My solution was to go to $rama and buy woman's leg warmers and use them as removable sleeves. It's much less bulk to carry around then a full jacket and they'll fit into any of the back pockets. No I did not get the ones with the sparkles on it. They look really warm tho, I got the ones that are just knitted and tri-colours. It's still alittle short but better then nothing. I may get another one that's made from a sock material but this is ok for windless days. $2, not a bad deal and does the job.
 
I stopped off at the dollarama looking for some kinda box to store flies that I've tied and about to. Well in the baby item section you'll see baby wipe boxes, one blue and one pink. The box is empty but I've found that if you get their weather stripping foam; it comes in a roll about 1 cm wide and 5.5M long, you can cut the weather stripping to the width of the box and stick it down. It's not so good for tiny flies as the wide weatherstripping will crush any hackle. But for larger flies it's a cheap way to store your spare flies.

Yeah Dollarama......lol.
 
I recently tried forged steel hooks in the black color they are pretty small and they are really cheap too. (About 1 dollar for :cool:
I caught a 1 pound or so pike (didn't have my scale) and the hook was really easy to remove and it didn't bend any way. In my opinion dollarama hooks are not the best but will do the job.
