moonshine spoons hold the best charge. Too bright sometimes.
Sail has them only thing is they are expensive and not heavy enough for a decent cast.

uv lights can be bought at home depot.

^This^ If you want great distance and charge get your hands on some Pete spoons.

A good quality flashlight with high lumens will do the trick. Costco has two flashlights for $20 with 220lumens that lights spoons up amazingly well. I fished with a guy on the piers who was using it, vs my 90lumen flashlight and his lasted longer and was much brighter.

Imo
Brighter spoons lures spook more fish than not.
i usually get a hit when the spoon looses its brightness.

Hey Pump,

What kind of paint and where did you buy it? It looks like it is a transparent coating rather than a paint (which is good). Is the glow bright enough? I am yet to get a glow spoon that is bright enough to see from say 40ft.
I buy my glow paint at Micheals for 4$ and it works pretty well. They also have neon colors that glow under uv light but I think that's a little outside the box!

Changing this up a bit, you guys should as FrequentFlyer about his catch at the pier last night! PB for weight thats for sure! I thought he was going to snap his rod!

This beast had so much power he had to chase it down the pier!!

LMAO......thought i was gonna lose my rod and my line and my spoon! so much power and so much weight, was 100% guarunteed to get the boat

FF's catch "surfacing" after he "tired it out" in the middle of the channel. Prob close to 5000lbs although we couldn't weigh her because she snapped off. Atleast I ran after him and got an action shot!!

Well I caught one of those last year...it was a bit smaller than that. Funny because I didn't even aim at it.

I always seem to miss the runs because asking other fishermen always results in "last week" or "yesterday was amazing!". lol.
Send me a text when you see this. I lost your number (new phone) we'll get you out swinging this year.

Boots are good practice, no matter what anyone says.

I agree with Jay,

Even though I just bought a new pin, I told my self when I outfitted my fly in November I was going to catch a king on it this year. I just tied "egg flies" , I am going to call them clumps of yarn flies though. rofl.
