Does anyone know how to tie this egg pattern? I have been searching online and have only been able to find videos on how to tie the ones they sell you in the fishing store. I was given this fly on the river in the spring and I just got all of the tools for tying flies so I was to make a ton of these.

Looks like just a yarn fly. Probably can tie it by securing one end, then just flipping it over itself and tying it again.

Imagine grabbing a sock at the toes then flipping it over your arm while still holding on. Then sliding it back up to make it puffy. Hope that helps.

nado i can proably do it why is it a secret bait u ran across  i tie em liek that but en egg shape never tried something like that looks interesting

found out from the fly expert at the tackle shop that it is called a nuke fly and it is supposed to imitate a dead egg. You tie a very small red egg in the middle and then do the sock thing around it. Or maybe you could just use red thread on the inside and just do the sock thing.

I met a guy on the river in the spring and he had over 30 hookups using those things when he was within my eyesight. I had big roe bags and needless to say didnt do so well. Ever since that day ive kept a film cannister full of single and double eggs in my vest when im on the river.
