Elora Gorge fishing regs

I just need some help here is this place located in zone 16 I can seem to find the zone it is in to check the regs.

Yes it is Zone 16.

Read the regs carefully - particularly the exceptions section as some waters (Grand River) in that area have more stringent rules concerning lures used, possibly barbless hook requirements, and zero take limits on some species.

Read the exceptions before you go, can't go off of what you read on a forum. Unless it changed there is a section in elora gorge that doesn't require artificial or barbless baits. Just use the search feature and search for grand river.

I beleive the section that doesn't have special regs is in fergus right in town I could be wrOng

The Elora gorge conservation park is also exempt from the no organic single barbles hook catch and release regulations. This extends to below the low water bridge in the Conservation area. As a side note the river is extremely high here right now and there has just been another heavy downpour. The low water bridge is closed and has in fact been this way for the last few days as water levels are above the bridge.
Fishing will not be the best for the next few days.

Ya the out flow from shad dam is around 47 Cms and the average is around. 4 Cms so it's alittle fast right now hopefully slows down and the grca lowers the outflow making it fishable

I came up on Thursday night hoping to fish a couple of evenings before the weekend ,no such luck for me. I will try Bellwood tomorrow for pike.but even the lake is very dirty with the influx of water from the upper stretches.

Thanks for the heads up I guess I'll just hold out a bit longer as I'm still fairly new to fly. So ill hopefully try next week if the weather allows it.

There's no special regs in the Gorge all the way down to the low level bridge.. down river from the low level bridge is special regs.

Also for grand river flow reports check out this website link.. Go to the Upper Grand link and look at the pink line for the Shnd dam discharge flows. Anything under 12 or 13 is fishable.. 4.5 is about normal summer flows... http://www.grandriver.ca/index/document.cfm?Sec=2&Sub1=0&sub2=0
