Fall Salmon and Trout Competition 2012

Ontario Fishing Forums

Help Support Ontario Fishing Forums:

yep, my mistake, 3.5" ...this is how I imagine OFF fishing competitions will look like in 2020 after the Asian Carp get here...http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=gzepBakFjQQ

Would like to submit my first salmon measured at 35" got on Tuesday.
This was my fourth attempt at the pier and finally got my reward
Thanks to all the tips I got here in the forum.

I was there at around 7pm hooked one and had a fight for about 15 mins but it got the best of me and got away.

Hooked my first catch around 10pm after all the other fisherman left the pier. :D

What a rush... time and money well wasted.

Heres my longest from yesterday, measured at 38". Hopefully gonna land a 40', broke 1 off that had to have been close. Hope to see some bigger fish caught. Cant wait to start measuring the steelieschinny38.png

wow this thread is slowwwwww, did everyone forget how to catch fish? Remember you dont need a pic with the tape. A pic of the fish and then measuring the fish while its in the water is fine.

This is probably my personal best at 41", gotta love Lake O

I think the problem is mother nature forgot how to precipitate!!!! COMMON RAIN!!!!!!Beauty fish BTW

Given the size of Lake O's salmon, it would almost make more sense to have a competition for who can catch the smallest chinook

Did you get those Atlantics in Ontario somewhere? Very nice, have yet to get one myself.
